ITALMECAN was founded in 1952 by Engineer Egidio Crestani, who came from Italy as a professor specializing in Production Mechanics. His passion for mechanics and his desire for personal and professional growth led him to start a small metalworking shop on a 300 m² plot of land, with a few machines imported from his home country and a small number of clients from various sectors.
In 1968, the company focused on manufacturing deck equipment for fishing vessels. The quality of its products, along with the development of anchovy fishing, led to significant growth, prompting the company to relocate to its current location on an initial plot of 2,440 m² and acquire higher-capacity and more advanced machinery for the time.
In 2002, the operations area was expanded to 7,000 m², marking the beginning of a modernization phase for facilities, infrastructure, and the implementation of process management systems.
In 2008, the mining division was created with the objective of offering comprehensive solutions in maintenance and special projects for mineral concentrator plants.
Today, thanks to the quality and excellence promoted by the founder from the start, we maintain our leadership as one of the top manufacturing companies in the country, leading each sector we serve.
